Advocacy Council

The Advocacy Council is a committee whose membership is comprised of currently and formerly homeless individuals. Members meet regularly to provide feedback on local policies affecting services and housing for people experiencing homelessness and to help create solutions for filling service gaps. They also serve as advocates by sharing their personal stories throughout the community and by engaging community members in volunteerism and other efforts.
“Typical homeless person…I’ve never met one. The person who happens to be homeless is as individual and different as the story of the person who lives it. I’m fortunate to be able to share my story and try and break the stereotypes.” -Rick Feuille, formerly homeless and past Advocacy Council Chair
