How To Help
We have a plan on how to assist people facing or living with homelessness: the Blueprint to End Homelessness. Now, we need more people to get involved in putting these tested and proven solutions into practice. Use the links below to learn more about how to join in efforts to end homelessness today.
Volunteer in Our Community
There are many ways to volunteer. You can serve as a mentor to a homeless family, tutor a child or adult, teach computer skills, serve as a job coach, help repair a home, or assist with professional or administrative tasks. Use this link to assist CHIP and the coalition of service providers.
Faith Based Engagement
Your congregation can continue and enhance their ministry in a manner that not only adds comfort to people experiencing homelessness, but also moves them from the street to services and housing by partnering with existing service organizations. Use this link to find out how to help.
Advocate
Many people associate homelessness with negative stereotypes of skid rows and panhandlers. This misinformation can hamper effective policies that move people into housing and services. Use this link to find out how you can help change perceptions and inspire others.
