"With malice toward none; with charity for all." (A. Lincoln). I feel honored to have been working for HVAF for 8 years in advocating for the hundreds of homeless veterans in our community. HVAF is identified in the Blueprint as the primary coordinator for services such as food, clothing, hygiene items, and housing for veterans. In 2008, we provided services to over 2,100 unduplicated veterans and family members. We house 145 homeless veterans on any given night, and yet tragically our waitlist is endless. I believe in HVAF's mission to do all we can until every homeless veteran in Indianapolis has a key to his or her own home, and a feeling of dignity and acceptance.
