I mentor because I was raised in a stable middle-class neighborhood, with lots of loving Aunts and Uncles, and I wanted to “be-of-service.” My homeless partners come from totally different backgrounds, which must be taken into consideration by me, as we discuss their action plans, what they value, and how they envision a better, stable life. I have become a People-Person! Learning to make allowances for their life experiences has taught me patience, seeking to understand, and thankfulness for my blessings. Enjoying free concerts, and spiritual services helps us all, mentor and mentee.”
