Project Development Forum
The Forum is hosted by the Indianapolis Continuum of Care Advisory Board. The purpose of the Forum is to bring together past and current Continuum of Care project applicants, as well as individuals and organizations who have sought other funding for projects, to review past planning and engage in new planning and building of project relationships. Discussion topics will include how and why partnerships and projects have formed, what barriers and resolutions were encountered in sustaining the partnerships, and how a project can successfully navigate the various funding opportunities to completion.

Access Pass program - Informational Meeting
The Children's Museum of Indianapolis invites your organization to learn more about the Access Pass program, which allows for underserved Indiana families to attend local cultural attractions for only $1 per person. Indiana families, with at least one member who is 18 years of age or older and who is a recipient of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), food stamps, or Hoosier Healthwise Insurance are eligible to participate in the Access Pass program. The Access Pass allows families to pay $1 admission per immediate family member per visit to the following attractions: The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Conner Prairie, Eiteljorg Museum, Indiana Historical Society and the NCAA Hall of Champions. The goal of the program is to provide informal educational and cultural experiences for families across the state regardless of their economic difficulties. The presentation will be held at 8:30 a.m., April 12 at The Children’s Museum. We ask for no more than two representatives from your organization to attend. Brown Bag Luncheon - Youth homelessness
Brown Bag Luncheon serves as an opportunity for local providers to network, share information, and learn about continuum of care and Blueprint updates. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. Bring your own "brown bag" lunch. The April luncheon will focus on the issues of youth experiencing homelessness.

Continuum of Care Letters of Intent Due Date
The Indianapolis Continuum of Care Advisory Board announces that submission of a letter of intent will be required for all 2010 Continuum of Care (CoC) applicants, new and renewal. The letter should include information about your organization, the type of program for which you are applying for funding, the intended population you will be serving, the amount of funding you are seeking, and any other information you think the Advisory Board should be aware of.
Letters of intent should be e-mailed to Matt Connor no later than 5:00pm, April 23, 2010.
The upcoming 2010 CoC grant to be released by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development is a competitive grant for supportive housing programs that serve homeless populations. The CoCAB will be developing a comprehensive application that is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2010 and due on June 21, 2010. To prepare for this grant cycle, the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention will be holding an informational session on April 9 to discuss the CoC process, potential application issues/concerns, and provide a forum of discussion on related topics. The forum will be held at Englewood Christian Church, 57 N. Rural. Contact Michael Butler for details about the forum. |
